Landmarks include the Avanti Food and Beverage hall, housed in shipping containers, and the iconic, oversized milk can that holds the Little Man Ice Cream shop near Hirshorn Park. The 1912 Bug Theatre puts on indie films, concerts, and plays.

Denver Denver, the capital of Colorado, is an American metropolis dating to the Old West era. Larimer Square, the city’s oldest block, features landmark 19th-century buildings. Museums include the Denver Art Museum, an ultramodern complex known for its collection of indigenous works, and the mansion of famed Titanic survivor Molly Brown. Denver is also a jumping-off point for ski resorts in the nearby Rocky Mountains.

GoldenGolden is a city and former gold rush town at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, in Colorado. Clear Creek Trail is a network of paths running along a waterway. It passes Clear Creek White Water Park, a kayaking course. The Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum has exhibits on earth science and mining history. Northeast is the Colorado Railroad Museum, with vintage trains and an 1800s-style railroad depot.

SilverthorneA town at the crossroads of several highways, CO-9, CO-6, and I-70, Silverthorne is a popular stop for people heading in all directions in the Rocky Mountains. In 2020 it boasted a population of 4,402 residents, so along with its neighboring towns in Summit Count and proximity to Denver, it feels quite urbanized.

Because Silverthorne is usually just a town vacationers pass through when they go to popular resorts nearby, they don’t really take the time to breathe the city in. However, this unique Summit County town has a lot to offer. Great for fishing and Hiking
